School Daze

I think that's the title of a movie. Idk. It sounded clever so I'm gonna stick with it.

The first week of school…where to being. Oh, I know, how about I forgot how much goes in to getting three kids ready for school in the morning. AND I have to get myself ready for work as well. Now you're probably all laughing at me because I should be well seasoned in this area, but last school year the brood was with their dad so I didn't do this. The year before that when they lived with me and Seth in Pensacola I had a nanny, and I was dressed and on my way to work before she even woke them up for school so I didn't do this then either. Then the year before that I was a student - AKA jobless, so all I had to worry about was them and my homework, basically life was awesomesauce in regards to work compared to now where they expect me to show up in order to receive my check monthly - what's up with that? We should all protest. No? Mmkay.

The night before I'm proud to announce that my baby boy slept in his own bed - that's a huge feat in the Rumbarger house.

Then in the morning he picked his own clothes. This is his tough guy look.

And here he is with Ana on our way out of the door on the first day.

E's school starts at 0710. Let me repeat that, E's school starts at 0710, which meant we had to wake up at o'dark-thirty, even Jersey wasn't amused.

And my sleepy yet handsome boys...

Random morning shenanigans.

The little ones go to the same school so they rolled out together. We walked Air to her classroom then Owen and I made our way to his. He is so excited that he's in the first grade. But he was a total shy-guy when we finally made it to his classroom.

But he jumped straight in to his first assignment - telling all about himself.

They all had a great first day. Even Ethan, who had to carry around 432 bags of stuff because I was unaware that in order for him to get a locker he needed money. #momfail
I couldn't get over the cute shoes the little ones picked to wear for the first day. I even snapped an iPhone pic because I loved the way their shoes looked against the school floor.

On the first day they came home with fun stuff like this cute little message with candy and pencils.

On the second day they laid down the hammer and informed the Elementary school students what will and will not be accepted on the school bus - check out number six, apparently they've had trouble in that aspect?

Number seven is humorous as well, unless of course your kid is the one causing destruction. Mine, thankfully, are doing the opposite; they've all aced all their assignments so far. Owen got 100% on his first spelling test! And Ari is showcasing her creativity.

It's been a hectic few weeks. Seriously I've never been so busy in my life. Seriously. With the move, then the gazillion trips back and forth to Destin, unpacking, grocery shopping, school clothes and supply shopping, appointments for physicals, appointments with the cable and satellite guys, going to get the water hooked up, the water heater taking a shit on us, work, school, homework, and then everyday life like laundry, cooking, etc. It's been way busy. And to top it all off the boyfriend isn't here for backup. But we make it work. Some days are easy, some days not so much, some days I need my man, some days I need my best girls, some days I just need a flippin' hug. But everyday I have these three and at the end of the day that's all that matters. The only thing that's missing is Sethy poo. But in time we'll all be together again. Until then I just turn to these silly geese for a little pick me up anytime shit gets cray.
