Taboo

Last night we played Taboo. Which I've never played with children before so 'twas quite interesting.

First, it took 45 minutes to explain how to play the game.

Then, in between each team's turn there was a five minute intermission of buckwild-ness that was encouraged by Papa (my father) constantly singing, "Stop! Hammer Time!"

So our teams were broken up into Boys vs Girls. Ari said, "Mom, the girls are gonna win because, well, we're just smarter." Ethan didn't like that very much and disagreed. To which Ari responded, "It's true Ethan, look it up online."

Bam! It's like that.

Now I know what you're thinking, you're thinking, "Wait a minute, boys vs girls? Isn't that a bit unfair? Papa, Daddy, Ethan, and Owen against Nana, Mom and Ari?" Four against three?

To that, I answer, "HELL NO."

Because Owen didn't contribute a whole lot to begin with. Within five minutes of the game beginning he ditched the guys and went to curl up in the corner of the sectional and played on the iPad. But then he gave the guys a much needed morale boost by getting five points for singing 'Thriller.' I'll stop typing now and just let you enjoy the following video:

I don't know about you but looking back on it I think that performance should've won the whole damn game for the boys.

Stay classy Owen.

Love,

Mama
