The Lovely L Family

Anytime I’m presented with the chance to photograph a family or a couple or children I jump on it. So during our most recent trip to Tampa I jumped at the chance to photograph my sister-in-law and her beautiful, growing family (she’s five months pregnant). The trip was jam-packed with appointments, visits to family, shopping dates, lunch and dinner plans and, umm, trips to Ikea (just to name a few), so we were hard-pressed for time. Therefore, the only chance I had time to shoot my sis and her fam was at noon. Eww.

The best time to shoot outdoors is dawn and dusk. Noon is absolutely the.worst.time. The sun is directly overhead and the shadows are harsh, giving the look of raccoon eyes. I tried my best to cheat the sun but five year old Z was rambuncious, so whereever Z was during any given time was where I would shoot. Overall, we made it work and I didn’t stress too much because I knew that during the next trip we made down to them I could just try again.

Here are a few of my faves:

Isn’t Z gorgeous? She’s beyond photogenic. And look at Mommy and Daddy in the background – love it!

I can’t wait to get down there in March to shoot J's maternity session. Hopefully she’ll have more of a belly by then, as of now she’s so super tiny! Thanks for looking! And a special thanks to J for allowing me to be crazy-camera-lady for the afternoon!

Love, Love, and More Love,

Lor
