So today’s the big day – E’s birthday, that is. He’s 12. I’m 29. Do that math and you’ll see that I kinda grew up with him. I believe that had I not had Ethan at the ‘too young’ age of 17 I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
He taught me (and continues to teach me) so much more than I could ever learn in any book. And he is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest child I’ve ever come in to contact with.
They say teenagers don’t know what true love is, but I did. Because at 17, Ethan was my first true love.
Because of Ethan, the world is a better place. And because of Ethan, I am a better person.
Happy 12th birthday beautiful boy! You are loved beyond belief.
