Little Devil

Air's room is getting a mini-makeover. I planned to simply make her a headboard and of course that turned into a full-blown switch it, change it, rearrange it!…you won't understand that reference if you weren't a WHS cheerleader in 1997 on the JV squad, which is only like eight of us in the world, so forget I ever said anything. In any event, when moving Ari's desk to a different wall we came across so random notes. When we moved this summer her class wrote her little messages on a picture they gave her before we left. I saw the angry devil man and naturally asked her who the hell drew that and if the artist explained its meaning. 

She proceeded to tell me (with a totally straight-face and completely nonchalant), "Oh *insert girl name* drew that…she's a disturbed child."

Ya fuckin' think? I think the fact that the words 'Good Bye' are directly below the drawing majorly screw with my head. And the fact that 'We will miss you' is circled (aka highlighted) adds to the insanity. Obviously three different children wrote/drew each thing as they are in different colors and handwriting but sweet mercy, if that isn't ironic placement then I don't know what is. And check out Lucifer's pitchfork - what the what?!

I've decided that from now on, prior to me approving or disapproving sleepovers Ari requests, I'm going to ask each candidate to draw a picture of the first thing that comes to mind. If it even remotely depicts little devil man the sleep-over shenanigans will be denied. #RealTalk
